Welcome to MSTPARK
 Science and technology parks are new
ideas that were initiated in American Selikon Valley in 1951 with the
purpose of technology development and making availability of the
higher technology and innovations. Due to the electronic revolution
all around the world, the importance of these parks to the industries
has been more recognized.
Science and technology parks are
designed and established in a way that are able to concentrate the
information and research abilities of the universities and
governmental and private institutes in a proper location and innovate
higher technology in collaboration with the scholars, educated people,
innovators and the industry experts and researchers inside and outside
the boundaries and support industrial and technological developments
of the country.
Science and technology parks in
developed and developing countries have different definitions and
situations. They are directly associated with the country ability for
development and its objectives, policies and developmental
infrastructures. The situation of these parks is determined with
regard to the existing requirements and circumstances in each country
and follows various objectives. Some of them like Sokuba Park in Japan
have been established in order to support the national technology and
regional development. Some others such as Daiduk Park in South Korea
and Singapore Science and Technology Park, prestigious as successful
and well-programmed typical parks in the world, have been constructed
for economic development and also for transferring, attracting and
localizing of technology.
In view of the countries` successful and
unsuccessful approaches and experiences in taking advantage of the
science and technology parks, it is essential for each country to
recognize its own objectives of the establishment of these parks with
regard to its strengths and weaknesses.
Considering the above-said matters, the
Modares Science and Technology Park has been established: to make
available for private and governmental institutes to take advantage of
the universities` information and research abilities, to create job
for the innovators and to develop technology and its due localization.
Consequently, there are three fundamental bases for this park:

Research centers affiliated to Tarbiat
Modares University.

The university departments and offices
for research and development of private and governmental institutes.

Tarbiat Modares University
Tarbiat Modares University, including
424 faculty members, 133 MSc and 70 PhD fields of study, educates
annually about 750 MSc and 200 PhD students. So far, a total of 9000
students have been educated in MSc and PhD levels. This statistics
ascertains its ability to make the proper links among the university,
industry, research centers and incubators by establishment of Modares
Science and Technology Park which leads to blossoming complicated
industries and job creating for innovators as well.
